To load new songs and stay fast. The restart refreshes the music catalogues, the Trending chart and the songs found during the day, and the server starts clean. It usually takes less than a minute. While it restarts you see a waiting page with a progress bar that brings you back by itself when the site is ready. We picked 03:00 (Romanian time) because that's when the fewest people play.

No. Your level, XP, badges, leaderboards and friends are saved all the time. A solo game you started continues where you left off. Only a room with friends started in that exact minute may be interrupted, you can start it again with one click.

Yes, SongGuess is completely free. No card, nothing to pay to play.

No, it works right in your browser, on your phone or computer. On a phone you can add it to your home screen (from the browser's menu: Add to Home Screen) so it opens like an app. We're also working on iPhone and Android apps.

You hear a clip of a song and guess which song it is: type it or pick one of 4 answers. The first clip is only 0.1 seconds. If you don't know it, you hear more: 0.5 s, 2 s, 8 s, then 15 s. The sooner you guess, the more points you get (1,000, 800, 600, 400, 200).

Packs by genre (manele, folk, rap, rock, international hits and more), the Daily Challenge (6 songs, the same for everyone, one try a day), Song of the Day (one song, 6 tries), Speed Run (as many songs as you can in 60 seconds), Guess the year, By Heart (your favourite songs), rooms with friends and 1v1 Ranked.

Your level grows with the XP you earn in any game and unlocks frames, name styles and colours. Separately, Ranked has a skill rating that goes up or down after matches. Ratings run in 3-month seasons: at the end you get a badge if you played at least 10 matches, and the rating partly resets.

Tap Party, create a room and send your friends the code (or link). You all hear the same songs at the same time, with a live scoreboard. With an account you can add friends and invite them to your room straight from the friends bar.

Tap the page or the play button once: browsers don't let sound start until you touch the page. Also check the volume (the slider next to the score) and that your phone isn't on silent. If one song in particular doesn't work or is wrong, report it with the report button at the end.

We use the official 30-second previews from Deezer and Apple Music, and some Romanian songs missing there play through YouTube's player. We don't store songs on our server.

Report it with the report button. We check reports and take wrong songs out of the game.

Not to play. Without one, your progress stays on this device. With an account (TikTok or e-mail) you keep your level, badges and friends on any phone or computer and appear on the leaderboards.

Points you score on the SongGuess TikTok LIVEs count towards your level on the site, you get the LIVE badges, and your TikTok profile photo. Link it from your Profile in one click.

Every account has a page at songguess.ro/u/username with your level, stats and badges, plus a card you can post to your story. If you'd rather not have it public, hide it from your Profile.

From your Profile, at the very bottom: Delete account. Your account, progress, friends, messages and leaderboard places are deleted for good. Details in the Privacy policy.

A show on TikTok (@songguess.ro) where you guess songs by writing in the chat. The first right answers score the most points, and the night's leaderboard shows on screen. On the site, the bar at the top tells you when the next LIVE starts.

Join the @songguess.ro LIVE and write the song's title in the chat when you hear it (or the answer's letter, when there are options). No account needed. If you link your TikTok to a SongGuess account, the points also count towards your level on the site.
